Artist's Statement
My art combines all my interests and loves. Being self taught, I approach all my painting using experimental trial and error. I have found my own way of teaching, always learning more than my students, and finding new ways to present techniques that are fun and exciting. My art is a journey, I can't yet imagine what I will learn , and what I may paint.....I should live so long.
JoAnn has worn many hats to arrive at this point in her artistic career. She has been a nurse, llama trekker, ski instructor, and store owner to name a few.
She has won numerous national and regional awards. Her paintings are in collections world wide. She has had several one woman shows in Iowa and Colorado. She taught for 6 years at Trinidad State Junior College in Colorado, and teaches workshops around the country.
